I guess now that the cat is proverbally out of the bag, so to speak, I'll expand on what I meant in another thread.

I can't agree with that more, Gabby...Unless there's an emergency you just don't make a commitment to play some shows, quit and leave your bandmates hanging. There's just a myriad of problems with doing that kind of thing - and it really shows a great deal of disrespect for Wayne - who as I pointed out in my other post, is one of the most professional and courteous people I've ever had the pleasure to work with.

This is probably the point I take contention with the most in how this whole thing was executed. Wayne deserves at least the respect to have been told about this *in private*, rather than to have been just blown off by a note in an enevelope. It's just common courtesy and sort of an unwritten rule between musicians to at least fulfill prior obligations before heading south of the border. Wayne of all people deserves more respect than that.

To have done this right after a gig, inside the venue, with a bunch of CB fans and crew around appears to me to have been somewhat deliberate. It appears to have been done (whether it was or not) to gather attention and to have been rather spiteful, to be honest. Even if you really had to spell it out in a note, why couldn't you have put the note in Wayne's car or something?

Anyways, Wayne deserves better than that. I've known Wayne professionally and as a friend for almost three years now, and I can honestly say he's one of the most courteous, honest, trustworthy, and dependable people I know around here. Even when I myself have had disagreements with Wayne, he's always shown me respect and was always willing to compromise to make things run smoothly. In the few times Wayne has been responsible for making some of his own mistakes, he's always the first person to apologize and attempt to make things right - and sometimes even when it's not his fault or responsibility to do so.

So, basically, yes, I am a bit offended and put off by someone - or anyone - who treats Wayne in such a manner. Aside from being a true professional, he's also my friend.

Anyways, despite how things were executed, I still think things happened for the best - and that goes for Metal J as well. I wish both J and CB the best for future endeavors, and hopefully both will be going farther in their musical ambitions in the future.

Well, normally I'd agree with keeping this out of "Public Forums" - it should have been a private affair, but it when you have such a public outburst such as what happened it's like the whole "Elephant in the middle of the living room" analogy...people are going to want to talk about it. Pretending that there isn't "an Elephant sitting in your living room" is a bit neurotic.

Had this incident taken place in private (like it should have been) it wouldn't be a "Publically Posted Discussion".
